While the greiving parents may want some time alone, this does not mean that they want to feel alone in their loss. Sending a card and flowers can be an extension of your sympathies and condolences, and can help be a non-intrusive way to let them know you are lending strength and prayers.

Don’t be afraid to use the baby’s name (if one was given already) and don’t be afraid to call.
